What do our volunteers do?

Our volunteers are generally acting as a greeter/canvasser- which involves strolling the market and answering questions. We give name tags to identify the volunteers. It’s broken into two shifts: 9:30am-11:30am and 11:30am-1:30pm. The first shift helps new vendors locate their spots and sometimes setup and/or park their vehicles. We also set up the CMS Farmers Market tent and tables.  At the end of the market, we disassemble the farmers market tent and traffic barriers that block access to the parking lot and make sure everyone gets wrapped up and the parking lot is reopened safely. Essentially, we are in place to make sure each market runs smoothly, and communicate with our community in real time.

One of the market managers will always be on hand to answer questions or settle disputes.
